U15 Boys Make Another Final !

Our U15 boys travelled to Cork on 2nd January to compete in the Cork County Board U15 John Coughlan tournament. It was an early start to the New Year as boys and their families hit the road at dawn to make their way to the Parochial Hall. The boys started brilliantly with two wins in their pool games against Limerick Lions and Moycullen from Galway.

With a win over Galway Titans in the quarter final the lads were up against local Cork team Ballincollig in the semis. A slow start meant Celtics were 10 points down early on but some excellent defence and a strong 3rd and 4th quarter meant another win and another final for the Celtics boys who have showed remarkable consistency over the last few years.

It was all to play for in the final against a very strong looking Blue Demons team. The 5 games on the day took its toll on Celtics as a deserved Blue Demons side took the trophy. Congratulations to Blue Demons and well done Celtics. Thanks to everyone for making the journey and showing great support as usual on the day !
