Liffey Celtics U13 Boys made the long trip to Cork to take part in the Cork Area Board tournament on Saturday October 4th, in the Parochial Hall. It was a really early start for the boys and they were on the court for their first game against Fr. Matthews at 9.30am. The lads gave a super performance to dominate this game from start to finish, with most of the team getting in on the scoring. After a one hour break, Celtics faced Demons and gave another strong performance to take a good victory. Next up was Liffey Celtics versus Neptune, with both sides giving their all and Neptune came through with a one point victory.
Liffey Celtics faced Sligo All Stars in the tournament semi-final, with another close game that went to overtime. Well done to Sligo who took the victory in overtime.
A great day out for the team in their first ever tournament.
