It all started about 2003. Prior to that we had a team training in Leixlip Amenities, and seeing the potential there, the founders decided to setup a Liffey Celtics Basketball club, and entered the Dublin Ladies league, and thankfully some of those initial playing members are still playing in the club today.

Thanks to the many volunteers who have worked so diligently to take the club through a very successful and enjoyable ten years, establishing the club as a stable community based sports organisation in the Leixlip / Lucan area.

Each season brought its own challenges and rewards. We could list games lost and won, league performance, cups, runners-up, roles of honour, but above all we are especially proud of all of the great basketball we played in the past ten years, and of course all of those who played it.
