Season 2014/2015 is up and running….

Basketball Ireland launched the new season on Wednesday last, and now we are all good to go.

This weekend sees our premier league side, Courtyard Liffey Celtics open their account with a short trip accross the city to play Meteors on Saturday at 4pm. This should be a great game with both sides having strengthened their panels since last season. Liffey Celtics are delighted to welcome Suzanne Maguire and Meagan Hoffman on board. Both seasoned international players, Meagan and Suzanne bring a wealth of skill and experience to our side and we are looking forward to seeing them in action during the season.

Elsewhere there are first games of the season for our U14(2), U16(2), U16(1) boys teams, while the girls U13, U12(2) and U18 teams have opening fixtures.

The U15 boys open the Mick James tournament on Friday evening, playing Malahide – thank you to the Templeogue club for the tournament invite, while our U12 boys make the long trip to Cork to play in the Cork Area Board U12 tournament.
